Music hours: 6:30-8:30: Duo // 9:00: Pat Senatore Trio with Josh Nelson and Mark Ferber
"When bassist Pat Senatore convenes his trio with pianist Josh Nelson and drummer Mark Ferber, something quite magical happens. Within the contours of the song form, a three-way musical conversation transpires where color, space, dynamics, rhythm and melodic invention flow freely. It’s supposed to happen all the time in jazz but rarely does it occur with such joyful synchronicity." --Kirk Silsbee, Downbeat
The Trio will be playing the music from their CD, Ascensione.
The Trio has evolved from the many years these three great musicians worked together at Vibrato. In the process, they developed a special confidence in one another, which kept expanding to a higher level, like the title tune, which is Italian for ascending. They will be performing the songs from the album, which is a combination of their original tunes and jazz standards.
