Bob Mamet and Frank Catalano Band

"There's real musicality at the heart of Mamet's work… A serious artist addressing important compositions [with] a silvery touch, a polished delivery and a fluency of expression."  Howard Reich, Chicago Tribune

"Frank Catalano is John Coltrane Energy for the 21st Centur!!!” Downbeat Magazine

Bob Mamet brings an entertaining personality plus accessible and authentic program of jazz to his performances throughout the world. Bob was a chart-topping Atlantic Records artist through three records touring the world in major venues. His next CD featured Bill Evans drummer John LaBarbara and his current release featured Pat Matheny drummer Paul Wertico. Both charted on all national US jazz charts.

Catalano's performances both live and recorded are electric. He toured with Santana at 18, then signed with Delmark Records to record his first solo album, Cut it Out with trumpeter Ira Sullivan at 19. His mentor organist Charles Earland provided over 100 gigs for Frank before his passing. His Delmark solo albums include You Talkin to Me?!, which features a tandem tenor session with Von Freeman, and Live at The Green Mill with Randy Brecker on trumpet. Over the past ten years he also has worked with Louie Bellson, Tito Puente, David Sanborn, Betty Carter, John Medeski and DJ Logic.

TOGETHER these two artists bring the best of all jazz worlds that have been knocking out audiences!
