Tom Peterson Quartet

Saxophonist and woodwind artist Peterson is a first call player, with good reasons.  Here’s a chance to hear him in the spotlight with a stellar rhythm section.  Some of the highlights of his playing are his renditions of the great Wayne Shorter compositions.

Tom can be heard on television, albums, motion pictures and jingles for television and radio.  He has worked as an educator, clinician and adjudicator.  Tom has also played in notable Big bands including the NBC Tonight Show Orchestra with Doc Severinsen for 17 years, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Lew Tabackin Big Band for 7 years, 5 years with Bill Holman Big Band andThe Bob Florence limited Edition.

Originally from Minneapolis, he attended the University of Minnesota majoring in saxophone performance and composition. Tom served in the U. S. Army Field Band (Studio Band) for three years before coming to California.
