“Very Peggy Lee” — John Kay of Steppenwolf
Internationally acclaimed vocalist, Jasmine Tommaso, has come a long way from home and is blossoming into the fullness of her gifts as both a singer and a songwriter. Her diaphanous voice adapts to each song, revealing its depths and heights, its meaning and mystery. Jasmine delivers–vocally, viscerally.
She studied in her native Rome, Italy and received a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music’s Summer program in Boston. Jasmine also holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from The University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Diploma in Vocal Performance from the Los Angeles College of Music.
She has performed at many important festivals in Italy and in acclaimed venues accompanied by well-known Italian jazz musicians such as Danilo Rea, Amedeo Tommasi, Rita Marcotulli, Anthony Pinciotti, Bebo Ferra, Daniele Scannapieco, Marco Valeri, and Claudio Filipino.
Since her recent move back to California, Jasmine released her debut album “Listening Party,” which is a jazzy/acoustic record of sparkling freshness filled with true emotion. She delivers world famous covers with a new twist, and delights us with her own original tunes. She has performed on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” and has made quite an impact on the Los Angeles music scene.
It is now with great pleasure that Jasmine introduces her new album “Nelle Mie Corde,” a musical collaboration with the one who has truly inspired her: her father — world renowned bassist, Giovanni Tommaso
