They brought down the house at Pat Senatore’s Big Bad Birthday Bash last month. They’re back and will be recording for their upcoming CD. Their inventive sound is by turns sultry, sexy, pensive and totally unique.
The players are:
Chuck Manning, sax — rocket scientist by day, jazzman at night — who can play a gorgeous ballad and blow fresh, understated brilliant post-bop lines.
Steve Huffsteter, trumpet/flugelhorn — former child prodigy, trumpet virtuoso and the genius behind the group who’s written most of their amazing charts.
Pat Senatore, bass — Vibrato’s Artistic Director with so much knowledge and so much experience — renown for his velvet sound and impeccable sense of time.
Tina Raymond, drums — Musicians love her lithe brush and cymbal work, supported by an iron core of time and grove.
