Opening Act: Pat Senatore // 6:30 to 8:30
At 21-years-old, Connie Han plays with the effervescence of a seasoned professional. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California — Han attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts majoring in both Classical and Jazz piano. After receiving full scholarships to attend New England Conservatory and UCLA's Herb Alpert School of Music, Connie chose instead to jump right into the grind of a professional musician. She lives by the wisdom of piano giant Mulgrew Miller who said, "Jazz is part progressive and part folk art." Her other influences include Jazz icons Hank Jones, McCoy Tyner, and Kenny Kirkland to name a few.
In May 2017 she was featured in Keyboard Magazine, a fixture of the keyboard and electronic music world of the past four decades, in its Talent Scout column. In June 2017 she was announced to perform in the Montreal Jazz Festival, ranked as the largest jazz festival in the world. In her time performing on the west coast, Han has cut her teeth with major Jazz personalities such as Walter Smith III, Bob Sheppard and Mike Clark.
