Del Casher

Del Casher is an American Jazz guitarist, composer, and inventor.  

Del was a member of the famous Wrecking Crew session players that made Hollywood famous for many artists including Frank Sinatra, Gene Autry TV, Lawrence Welk TV, Julie London, Bob Hope and Frank Zappa, All from A to Z and everyone in between.

His many inventions include the wah-wah pedal and the Ecco-Fonic, which significantly influenced the development of rock and roll guitar including Jimi Hendrix and Elvis Presley.  

Del’s wah wah  sound caught the ear of Addams Family composer Vic Mizzy, who used his talents  on film and TV scores. Del also appeared in Paramount’s "Roustabout" starring Elvis Presley and Jerry Lewis’ film The Patsy. His work in Hollywood ran the gamut of all styles and is known for his versatility of music  styles.  

Del’s NBC4 Nightly News Theme in Los Angeles was NBC NEWS theme for 18 years.  

He produced, arranged, and performed over 200 shows as Music Director for the children’s TV show "The New Zoo Revue".  

He was a member of the LA Pops Orchestra and composed the classical work "Americana Suite for Orchestra".

He is also the producer of several Japanese anime television programs in English. Del continues to be active with his company, AMI Productions in Burbank, offering a variety of services, including anime, voice-over, audio production, and music composition.
