Simon Moullier Quartet
Vibraphonist, producer, composer, and bandleader Simon Moullier has distinguished himself as one of the leading voices of his generation.
Born in Paris, and having studied classical percussion and drumset extensively throughout his formative years, Simon picked up his first mallets during high school.
Quickly becoming recognized for his entirely new approach and sound on the instrument, Moullier went on to complete an undergraduate degree from Berklee College of Music followed by a Master’s degree from the Thelonious Monk Institute.
He has since shared the stage with such jazz luminaries as Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, John Patitucci, Danilo Perez, Miguel Zenon, Gerald Clayton, Logan Richardson, Jimmy Heath, Jeff Tain Watts and is featured on recording with Mark Turner, Kendrick Scott, Dayna Stephens, Bob Sheppard.
Simon is an active touring musician, having performed worldwide at many of the most-respected jazz clubs and festivals, including Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola at Jazz at Lincoln Center in NYC, Sunside in Paris, The International Jazz Day Festival in Cuba and Russia, the Blue Whale in Los Angeles, Portugal, Spain, U.K, Italy, Sweden, Panama.
